Kidds Beach is situated on the East Coast of South Africa in the EasternCape. It is a small village 30 minutes south of East London and has an out of season population of about 200 people. My grandparents had a holiday home which they bought in the 60s which they visited regularly. This house eventually became their home and since I can remember my family has visited them there, usually in the winter. This photo of the paddling pool taken from the tearoom side brings back so many memories from my childhood. It is a quiet, peaceful part of the world where you can feel your soul sighing in relief every morning you wake up there. It is my favourite place.
